6/22 – Tuesday (Periods 2-4-6) Special Schedule – Early Dismissal at 1:30pm

Period 2           8am – 9:35am

Break               9:35am – 9:45am

Period 4           9:45am – 11:20am

Lunch               11:20am – 11:50am

Period 6           11:55am – 1:30am

 

GARFIELD Summer 2010 Office Information:

Main Office Hours: M-F 8am – 1pm (Starting June 28 – August 27)

 

  • Counseling Office Closed.  Counselors back on August 25.
    • Transcripts can be ordered through the main office.  Senior Transcripts will be mailed the week of July 5 - 9.  Transcripts will be processed weekly during the summer months.  Form is located on the Garfield Website, Click on Counseling Page, Under forms.  A $2 charge is required for all transcript requests. 

·         Athletic Office Closed.  Athletic Secretary will be back in the office on August 16.

Pick up Blank Sports forms in the Main Office all summer BUT turn them in in AUGUST

    •  FOOTBALL FORMS ONLY ACCEPTED - Starting August 17 – 18
    • All other sports forms accepted starting August 19 – 20
  • All offices closed during the summer except the main office. 
    • If you need to contact teachers/counselors during the summer you can check out our website and try to contact them via email.  Some teachers check there email during the summer months while others wait until the beginning of September to return correspondence.

·         Report Cards will be sent out around the first week of July.  July 5 – 9

    • Fine’s that are attached to report cards can be paid in the main office. 

·         Textbook/Library Returns will be accepted in the Main Office until the middle of August.  Last day for textbook returns - August 13, 2010.  If you miss this date please return books at the beginning of the school year.

 

Summer School Information:

  • Summer Bridge Program starts June 28 and ends July 30.  Hrs 9:00am – 12:00pm.  Coordinators for Summer Bridge are:

STUDENTS

SPORTS FORMS:   FOOTBALL AND OTHER FALL SPORTS FORMS ARE BEING ACCEPTED BY MS. MEDINA FROM JUNE 17 THRU JUNE 22   SEE HER BEFORE SCHOOL, DURING BREAK AND DURING LUNCHTIME. DUE TO A NEW SCHOOL POLICY, CHECKS ARE NO LONGER BEING ACCEPTED. PLEASE PAY YOUR FEE WITH CASH (EXACT AMOUNT) OR WITH A MONEY ORDER – PAYABLE TO GARFIELD HIGH SCHOOL - one money order for both the Pay to Play amount and the ASB amount is sufficient.  Information and forms are located outside Room 171 across from the main office and can be picked up by your student.  Football Forms will also be accepted on August 17 and 18.  All other fall sports forms will be accepted August 19 and 20th.  Fall Sports with the exception of Football begin on Monday, August 23.  Sports forms are not accepted on tryout days or on game days.  Winter and Spring sports will be accepted during Orientation.  The Athletics Office will be closed for the summer and will reopen on August 17.  SPORTS FORMS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS.  If your student cannot turn in their form during the days allocated above, please send the completed form and fees with a trusted friend or relative.  They will receive a receipt of items received to give to you.

Turn in Books Now!  All library materials, textbooks and other items are now due.  Turn into teachers and library.  Check red book link in Source.  Status report will be sent home with report cards. 

Students who are not returning to Garfield next year:  Students who are changing schools and not returning to Garfield next year must see the Registrar in the counseling office ASAP to complete the checkout/signout forms before the last day of school. 

Teacher/Staff Appreciation: The last Teacher/Staff Appreciation event of the year is an End of the Year Luncheon, which will be on Wednesday, June 23rd at 11:30 am.

Internship at a Downtown Seattle Law Firm:  This law firm has been a partner since the beginning of YouthForce over 12 years ago.  I will be accepting applications until 7/5.
