Congratulations to the Boy's Swim & Dive Team on their undefeated dual meet season! The Garfield Bullfrogs are 8-0 going into the Championship Meet season. Please wish them good luck in their qualifying meets coming up in February.
1/9/10 Garfield vs Newport vs Skyline
The team turned around 16 hours later for a double defeat against Newport (97-88) and Skyline (117-68)!!! The level of energy and focused intensity in the athletes at the meet was impressive. The cheering and support our team showed for each other was a key element in our success. We made one new state relay cut at the meet and had 29 more best times and many more best relay split swims. An amazing feat for having meets two days in a row!! Special kudos to the athletes who willingly tried new events for the first time!
1/8/10 Garfield vs Liberty
The Bullfrogs won our meet against Liberty 125-66. The team really performed well and the two weeks of holiday training really showed with 46 individual best times, lots of relay split best times, 3 new state qualifications (including the medley relay) and one new district qualification.
12/18/09 Garfield vs Sammamish
The GHS Bullfrogs remain undefeated with a win against Sammamish 137-44! Other highlights inlcuded the number of athletes that successfully tried new/longer events, the number of athletes that stepped up to fill relay spots of kids who were ill, and the famous home meet chorus line!!
12/10/09 Garfield vs Interlake
Another win for the Bullfrogs 129-54. Most swimmers achieved best times and we posted another 8 district and 3 state cuts!!! We also had many swimmers who participated in their first swim meet ever or tried a new event - kudos to them!! The Bullfrog team spirit and support for the other team was awesome! Interlake had many brand new swimmers on their team and the guys were great in cheering for them.
12/3/09 Garfield vs Issaquah
Our first dual meet of the season was a great success! The Bullfrogs were victorious over Issaquah with a final score of 98-85!!
The meet was also a success in terms of the number of improved times and championship qualifying times posted!! We had a multitude of best times in our individual and relay splits as well as 9 athletes who made a total of 15 District Championship cuts and 1 athlete who made a State Championship cut! All-in-all an awesome start to our season!
